Yohei Hayashi grew up in Japan. At 18, he moved to the USA to study photography at the University of Toledo, then returned to Japan 4 years later and subsequently graduated from Tokai College of Dental Technology in 2005.
After working for a dental laboratory in Nagoya, specialising in C&B, Yohei entered Osaka Ceramic Training Centre in 2007, studying with Shigeo Kataoka.
Yohei joined Ivoclar Vivadent Japan in 2008, and worked there as the Technical Advisor for 6 years. He acquired Trainer Technical C&B certification from Liechtenstein in 2010 and provided specialist training with IPS e.max and other C&B materials throughout Japan.
Yohei and his family immigrated to New Zealand and joined Ivoclar Vivadent New Zealand in January 2015.
He continues to receive training from Ivoclar Vivadent head office Liechtenstein and Amherst USA, to enable advanced instruction to New Zealand laboratories.
