Dr Cohen is an Australian board-certified prosthodontist, with special interests in all aspects of prosthodontics, particularly in removable prosthodontics, fixed removable prosthodontics (conventional and implant based), and complex rehabilitations ranging from single tooth to full mouth reconstruction.

He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Upon graduation in 2001, he provided primary oral health care and surgery in extreme rural conditions to some of the poorest South African communities before working in the private sector for several years.

In 2008, Hezel moved to Australia and worked as a general dentist in Central Queensland for five years before moving to Perth in 2013. He completed a 1-year Certificate in Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics) through King’s College, London and gained his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) degree at the University of Melbourne. He is a past lecturer and clinical tutor for undergraduate dental students OHCWA, a visiting Prosthodontist at Royal Perth Hospital Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Unit and member of ITI, Australian & New Zealand Prosthodontic Academy, Australian Prosthodontic Society, ADA and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
