In this course, we will practice imitating an aesthetic restoration with IPS e.max Press observing the features of the tooth’s shade through some pictures of a #11 clinical cases.

Aesthetics of anterior teeth is related to a reproduction of tooth colors and tooth contours.

In terms from a functional point, a real dental bio-mimetic with both longevity and beauty of dental restorations can be pursued by setting a guide derived from natural anterior teeth.

• Fabricating framework with IPS e.max Press ingot (Remarks on framework design)
• Making a tooth shade map analysis by pictures.
• How to select IPS e.max Press ingots according to various clinical cases.
• Framework shading / wash firing
• First and second build-up firing
• Observing surface texture and luster of natural teeth
• Contouring, glazing and mechanical polishing

Learning Objectives:

It is not only important to analyze tooth shades by means of various clinical cases but also to learn special layering techniques that fit to individual characteristics of natural teeth.

We will also look deeply into how to reproduce surface texture and luster of teeth in order to perfectly imitate natural teeth and how to select IPS e.max Press ingot according to the individual tooth shades.
