Both Stephen and Arnie have spent the past 3 years practicing Dr Abe's Suction Denture Impression method and completed Master instructor training with Dr Abe. This experience enables them to teach these techniques to Australian clinicians. The lectures, clinical and laboratory demonstrations will highlight the new techniques for achieving suction and stability on a lower denture.

Stephen and Arnie's passion, the use of BPS clinical and technical approaches, will enhance the final outcomes for these revolutionary techniques.

This course, will be held in the ICDE clinic with a patient provided by Ivoclar Vivadent. The participants will be seeing, up close, all of the SEMCD techniques. Stephen and Arnie will be taking primary impression, secondary impression including bite registration.

Model preparation, tray design set up of pin tracer and custom trays, will be presented in lecture format.

Learning Objectives

Comprehensive clinical and technical training on the steps in producing one of the most difficult results in complete denture treatment, suction effective lower dentures'. Participants will see: the primary, frame cut back tray (FCB) and secondary impression techniques, and learn to overcome the challenges of full denture treatment.

Students will be encouraged to practice the following skills in their own clinics.

• Examination of suitability for suction effective dentures
• Primary impression using Accudent
• Custom tray design with Gnathometer M
• Final functional SEMCD impressions
• Determining the vertical and horizontal position with the Gnathometer M or wax rims
