Hands-on Workshop
Auckland, NEW ZEALAND
From: 8:30 AM Monday, 16 March, 2026
Registration opens at 8:00 AM
To: 6:00 PM Tuesday, 17 March, 2026
In this course, Aiham will demonstrate his approach to transforming a monochromatic design into multi-layered, natural-looking crowns and veneers. He will implement a simple, practical technique while utilizing the high-performance characteristics of the IPS materials and understanding their firing behavior.
Aiham will use the well-rounded range of materials to their full advantage by breaking down the code of stains and ceramic powders and clarifying their integration with both pressable and millable e.max and zirconia materials. He will showcase how to build tooth-like restorations based on a real clinical case scenario, covering the following key points:
- When to use e.max and when to use zirconia: material selection judgment in challenging case scenarios
- The right cut-back: establishing the ideal foundation to meet patient expectations
- Foundation bake: creating visual depth to overcome conservative tooth reduction
- Internal 3D stains: adding depth and optional (subtle or distinct) incisal characteristics.
- Going fully artistic with characterization: choosing between a two-powder incisal approach or a 4–5 impulse powder combination to mimic the vitality of natural enamel
- Tooth shape, form, and overall smile composition: developing the perception of the bigger picture .
- Manual surface texture and glaze creation: crafting vertical and horizontal grooves to control light dynamics and mirror natural tooth surfaces
- Advanced 3D staining technique: the new era of staining, when to combine it with micro-ceramic layering, and how to make ceramic restorations speak through depth and realism
Aiham will also demonstrate his CeramArt 3D staining technique on ZirCAD Prime monolithic restorations, showcasing how to achieve a seamless blend with layered e.max restorations.
Objectives
- The Ingot, stump masking and shade matching
- LT vs MT, brightness and translucency, IPS emax Press
- Micro layering, the internal effects conception, IPS Selection
- The Cut-back classification, Mamelon, IPS Impulse
- Staining technique, Conception, and application, IPS CeramArt
- the new era of zirconia, the GI technology with ZirCAD Prime and Prime esthetic A-Z
