Oral Surgery: flap design, suturing, socket preservation, and other fundamental skills in general practice
Gain hands-on skills in oral surgery focusing on fundamental surgical skills.
You will learn:
- Different flap design – theory, and hands-on on a pig’s jaws with teeth
- Surgical access, sectioning, and extraction
- Basic suturing skills including interrupted, horizontal and vertical mattress, continuous and locking sutures
- How to utilise your assistant to help with procedures
- How to undertake socket preservation
