Presented by Dr Ed Pitts the workshop will consist of a combination of lecture and hands-on training, participants will deepen their understanding of implant biomechanics, abutment selection, and restorative workflows using both analogue and digital techniques.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understanding the bio-mechanics of implant crowns
  • Crown materials and biology
  • Abutment options - stock vs custom, multi-unit abutments, On-1 Concept + cement retained
  • Benefits of using genuine componentry
  • Digital vs. Analogue - when and how to use both as well as hybrid models
  • Implant crown design for long term success and soft tissue stability in the anterior and posterior regions
  • Short span bridge principles - direct to fixture and multi-units
  • Utilisation of angulated screw channels
  • Management of poorly positioned implants
  • Full arch restoration principles with both analogue and digital techniques

Learn how to optimise implant crown design for long-term function and aesthetics, manage challenging implant positions, and navigate the benefits of genuine componentry, digital tools, and hybrid workflows. Practical sessions will include scanning, impression taking, and fabrication of custom temporaries for anterior aesthetics.
