This event includes information on the following topics:

The intended audience for this event includes:

Yttria-stabilised tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZP) exhibits mechanical and optical properties suitable for dental applications. Monolithic Y-TZP restorations are used to reduce the risk of chipping and decrease reduction of natural tooth. Monophase and multiphase zirconia with longitudinal gradients of chroma and translucency have been developed with the use of digital technology for matching the optical properties to those of natural dentition. However, appropriate materials selection and design optimisation must be applied in order to achieve desirable outcomes.

9.00 - 10.30 • Session 1

Zirconia - Raising the bar in a Digital World

Digitalization is changing dental technical working methods and procedures in the laboratory. New production processes and materials require new techniques and sound know-how.

Do you fashion the majority of your crowns with zirconium oxide? Do you have high expectations for the materials you use and the restorations you create? Are you constantly looking for new ways to achieve impressive natural-looking results with ease?

If that is the case, we invite you to discover the latest zirconia generation IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime Esthetic. Easy – economical – lifelike: It takes only a few steps to produce aesthetic monolithic restorations.

What you will learn from this lecture:

  • Not all zirconia is the same
  • Which material is best for the indication and technique
  • Staining and layering technique when to use which material
  • Florescence and why the Fluro glaze is important
  • Aesthetic cases and what to look for

Demonstration
Are you constantly looking for new ways to achieve impressive natural-looking results with ease for Monolithic Zirconia Restorations? I would like to invite you to discover a simplified technique and process to optimize aesthetics. The concept of applying the infiltration technique can enhance any restoration.

While the primary goal when shading zirconia to achieve a standardized basic shade will include the Selective infiltration of accent shades to customize the framework. The advantage of the infiltration technique for accentuating the restorations with the accent colours ,value, chroma which are applied before the sintering process and thus creating different depth effect. Working with these material is time-saving and efficient .The high level of aesthetics – in terms of shade and translucency – of the pre-coloured material also saves time in finalization.

During the Demonstration you will learn:

  • The technique of infiltration
  • What equipment is required
  • Which areas should you be concerned about
  • Why some materials are not recommended
  • Which materials create certain effects

10.30 - 11.00 • Morning Tea

11.00 - 11.45 • Session 2

For every case the right solution – Prettau® Skin® technique and full arches on implants

Dental restorations can feature high aesthetics from a dental technical point of view. However, only after placement in the patient's mouth is it possible to define whether they truly meet the functional requirements. In this context, by showing real patient cases, DT Rian Barnard will illustrate the innovative Prettau® Skin® technique: Zirkonzahn intelligent solution for restoring patients’ smile with zero to minimal impairment of tooth substance using ultra-thin zirconia veneers (0.2 mm). Special attention will be also given to the production of full arches on implants.

11.45 - 12.30 • Session 3

Maximising Time Efficiency in 3D Printing

In the fast evolving landscape of digital dental technology, the ability to speed-up production without compromising quality is important. In this presentation, Charlie delves into innovative strategies and best practices for maximising time efficiency in dental 3D printing. He will explore cutting-edge techniques, material advancements, and workflow optimisation methods that promise to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Attendees will gain insight into practical solutions that can be applied to speed up the dental printing process, ensuring faster turnaround times while maintaining the highest standards of precision and a clean workspace. Join Charlie to discover how your practice or laboratory can benefit from his near 10 years of resin based 3D printing experience, and significantly reduce the headaches while setting the new standard for dental 3D Printing efficiency.

12.30 - 13.30 • Lunch

13.30 - 14.15 • Session 4
