This program will focus on the management of gingival recession defects and soft-tissue optimisation for extraction sockets using research-proven xenograft materials.

Gingival recession is a problem for many of our patients, both aesthetically and functionally. The  first part of the program will focus on the treatment of gingival recession defects using Geistlich Mucograft® to gain both predictable root coverage and a gain of keratinised tissue. Geistlich Mucograft® is specifically designed for soft-tissue regeneration. Its 3D-collagen matrix favours early vascularisation, soft-tissue integration and optimal wound healing. Mucograft® is the gold standard alternative to soft-tissue grafting for gaining keratinised tissue and root coverage.

Tooth extraction inevitably leads to a rapid loss of bone volume and soft-tissue volume and resorption of the bone crest. These changes result in unfavourable ridge anatomy that jeopardises dental implant and restorative treatment. The second part of the program will analyse the pattern of soft and hard tissues loss following tooth extraction and will demonstrate easy-to-use techniques to counteract bone loss following extractions using Mucograft® Seal and Bio-Oss® Collagen.

This hands-on course is designed for practitioners with experience in treating periodontal disease and who want to advance their soft-tissue regeneration skills.
