Practitioners want to implement the Straumann Dental Implant System into their practice.
Through three practical restorative sessions supported by didactic instructions, participants will become familiar with single unit posterior restorations, single unit restorations in the aesthetic zone and short span fixed prosthesis in the non-esthetic zone.
This is a 3-piece module program. It is expected that participants are enrolled in all three modules.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Module 1. Single unit posterior restorations
Course Objectives:
An understanding of basic implant biomechanics for single unit posterior restorations
• Site assessment
• Screw vs cement-retained restorations
• Implant types
• Componentry options
• Impression techniques
• Crown insertion
Skill outcomes: Participants should be able to assess, treat and manage single unit restorations in the posterior region

Module 2. Single unit restorations in the aesthetic zone

Course Objectives:
An understanding of biologic factors that influence aesthetic implant-based restorations.
• Single tooth site assessment
• Dimensions of tooth replacement
• Surgical requirements to effect aesthetic implant restorations
• Soft tissue management
• Provisional restorations
Skill outcomes: Participants should be able to assess, treat and manage single unit restorations in the aesthetic zone.

Module 3. Short span implant fixed dental prostheses in the non-esthetic zone

Course Objectives:
An understanding of site consideration, assessment and management of clinical procedures for Implant supported Fixed Dental Prostheses (I - FDP) in the posterior quadrants.
• Site assessment
• Restorative planning
• Implant types
• Loading protocols
• Component selection
• Evaluation of restorative fit
• Impression techniques
Skill outcomes: Participants should be able to assess, manage and treat patients for the provision of short span implant-supported fixed dental prosthesis in the non-aesthetic zone.
