Dr Tony Dawson is a prosthodontist in specialist practice in Canberra. After spending 20 years in the as a dental officer RAAF, Tony started his practice in Canberra in 1994. He is an active member of the Australian Dental Association, serving on a number of ADA (NSW Branch) committees as well as being a former member of the ADA(NSW) Council. Tony also has a strong interest in dental education. He was the Co-editor and Co-author of a textbook on implant dentistry that is used as a reference worldwide. He teaches at the dental school at Charles Sturt University in Orange, and has presented lectures throughout Australasia, and in North America and Europe, on topics related to complex restorative dentistry, and implant dentistry. Tony is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Professional Development Limited in Sydney, and is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, serving as the ITI's Section Chairman in Australasia, and as an editor of the ITI Online Academy.
