There are evidence-based solutions for many of the practical issues that you face on a daily basis carrying out restorative, crown and bridge procedures. This hands-on-course will help you to predictably and effectively manage and solve these problems and ensure that you are current in your knowledge and treatment planning choices.

This course is suitable for clinicians/recent graduates with or without surgical experience. It has been designed to provide you with all the principles of soft and hard tissue surgery pertinent to carrying out actual crown lengthening procedures. Participants will perform hands on surgery on pig mandible to learn the theory and clinical skills underpinning these principles.

Topics include

• Unravel 'biologic width'
• Discover and evaluate methods to determine the best solution; extraction, orthodontic extrusion, lasers or crown lengthening.
• Learn how best to manage post-operatively and prevent complications by careful treatment planning

• Teeth fractured below the gingiva
• Improving access for good impressions and crown margins
• Planning aesthetic restorations
• Treatment of patients with uneven gum margins, gummy smiles
