Every year over 200,000 dental implants are installed in Australian patients. That means more and more patients are presenting to hygienists and OHTs for maintenance - Are you equipped to manage this growing area of patient care?

Dental implants are highly successful treatment protocol for many patients. They can restore function and aesthetics in ways no other treatment options can. However, like all medical/dental procedures they can develop complications. Knowing the difference between a healthy implant and one with complications is paramount for todays hygienist and OHT.

Learning Objectives:

• Identify and Understand Terminology and Implant Processes

• Post-Surgery Management

• Implant Maintenance Protocols

• Diagnosis, treatment and referral of complications

This course will have hands-on practical components that will be performed on life-like models by all participants.
