Modern Endo: The Key to Successful Treatment

Modern endodontics provides the opportunity to obtain fast and reliable treatments mainly due to the fact that instruments used for shaping the main canal are better performing. It is necessary to have a strict relationship between technical design and mechanical properties in order to have the best performance possible weather continuous rotation is used or if reciprocating motion is chosen.

Today we can count on new designs associated with new metallurgic approaches for reaching unique results in terms of gliding and shaping. Flexibility and resistance are the key words for the new era but just as well minimally invasiveness, related to new instruments, will leave teeth that will last better to function when properly restored.

The new era of endodontics is more simple, fast and reliable but most importantly gives the chance of leaving more residual structure. The final objective of the endodontic treatment is not only to get rid of the biological tissue and of the possible infection, but to also create a new system that may be able to work properly for the designed function as long as possible after the treatment is completed.

Restorative Solutions: Simplified Approach in Modern Composites for Vital & Post-Endo Treatment

Modern adhesives offer the chance to have better performance in restoration of teeth whether they are vital or non-vital. Modern composites offer the chance of approaching both anterior restorations as well as posterior.  In the anterior area they offer ideal color integration due to correct translucency and handling properties that, associated with a guided approach for design result is simple yet successful restoration of the aesthetic zone.

Posteriors are today approached in few simple steps and do not need layering in order to accomplish good combination of form and function. Endodontically treated teeth are able to behave ideally if endo treatment is correct, but also if the coronal structure is well restored.

Today’s restorative dentistry is based on modern adhesives and modern composites; yet it has to face a number of problems that will be analysed through the lecture: treatment plan in relationship to the remaining structure in anterior and in posterior teeth, the type of composite and adhesive in relation to the type of restoration adopted, color change in endodontically treated teeth and correct behaviour in cases color is an issue.

There will be clear description of the approach necessary to deal with direct restorative in all the different situations.

Implant Site Development via Bone and Soft Tissue Grafting

Modern dental implant therapy requires a long-term stable functional and esthetic result. This presentation will focus on the application of bone grafting and periodontal soft tissue grafting procedures to effectively enhance the esthetic and functional outcome in standard and complex cases. In addition, this presentation will outline the factors leading to complications and demonstrate the various treatment options available to prevent these complications via appropriate implant site development techniques.

13.00 - 14.30 • Session 3

Controlling Occlusion with CEREC: scan strategy and the virtual articulator

This lecture will focus on using CEREC technology for comprehensive patient care by implementing the virtual articulator. We will discuss how data from the cone beam can be used to precisely dial in the settings on the virtual aritculator so that it is a customized tool to precisley  replicate the anatomy of the patients joints in the CEREC design. Lastly, we will be overviewing the importance of the scan technique to get perfect occlusion everytime.

Achieving Predictable Implant Aesthetic Outcomes: systematic and step-by-step process for standard, complex, and compromised cases

Patients presenting with hopeless or missing teeth in the esthetic zone present a unique challenge for the clinician. This challenge is related to the well documented and inevitable resorptive process that follows the extraction of these teeth, the resulting anatomic limitations, and the associated significant potential for soft tissue complications, especially in conjunction with higher risk procedures such as immediate implant placement and immediate loading protocols. This presentation will demonstrate in a systematic and step-by-step outline how to achieve predictable and long-term esthetic results in standard, complex, and compromised cases in the esthetic zone.

13.30 - 15.00 • Session 3 - Sheraton on the Park

Simplified Smile Design Techniques with CEREC

In this course we will expand on the general session lecture and concentrate on creating simply, realistic, and inexpensive smile designs with patients, converting them into digital waxups (including 3D printing), and using them to successfully restore the case.

15.00 - 15.30 • Afternoon Tea

15.30 - 17.00 • Session 4 - Sheraton on the Park

CEREC Tips for Efficient Workflows

This lecture will review common workflows that will ensure that from imaging to milling, you get the most trouble free CEREC workflows and proposals possible.  Utilizing proven techniques to control occlusion, proposals and the fit of the restoration, users will explore tips and tricks to help make any CEREC workflow as efficient as possible.

15.30 - 17.00 • Session 5 - Sheraton on the Park

Crowns, Bridges and Abutments: Single Visit CEREC Zirconia

In this course we will discuss design strategies to improve proficiency and success with zirconia restorations and abutments, how to improve the esthetic result with the high strength zirconia, and also look at new options in the zirconia world to increase utilization.

15.30 - 17.00 • Session 6 - Sheraton on the Park

3D Guided Surgery with CBCT and CEREC Guide 2

The digital revolution in dentistry is progressing rapidly. The translation of digital technologies into the clinical field of implant dentistry has resulted in new treatment modalities at the surgical and restorative level. This course will focus on the application of digital technologies in surgical and restorative implant dentistry, including digital scanners and cone beam CT scanners, and how the merging of CAD/CAM and CBCT data will culminate in a guided implant surgery technique and digital implant restorative techniques that can ultimately lead to an increased predictability and efficiency in dental implant therapy.
